Resident Program
Tri-Lakes
Monument Fire Protection District is one of the few
departments that offers a “Residency Program”.
Through this program, young adults have the
opportunity to continue their education in fire science
and/or paramedic school (where applicable/qualified) and
gain “hands on” experience while working with our fire
department. A
maximum of four residents are accepted in to the program.
Each resident completes a two year term.
Education, uniforms,
as well as room and board are all compensated by TLMFPD.
Residents are assigned a shift with the fire crews to
gain hands on experience at fire and medical emergencies as
well as continued training.
Completion of this program prepares the resident for
potential full time opportunities with any fire service in
the future.
